A tribute to Dr. Larsen for his great work understanding and confirming the breadth of technical information on this page and confirming it from the perspective of a Ph.D in material testing.
Dr. Larsen spoke extensively with Frank R. Greening who joined with Zdenek P. Bazant 6/21/07, et. al. for a final mathematical analysis of collapse. It was at Dr. Larsens insistence of the truth of the concrete core, to Greening, that at least has this final report acknowledging that fact.

built to test the core base for WTC 2 using the rocket
exhaust ports surrounding a center pedestal that would
be elevator shafts with door openings to the lobby
when used as the base of a tower core rather than a

WTC 2 CORE STANDING
The lower part of the concrete tubular core of WTC 2 is seen below. Each tower must have had a secondary detonation system that was installed months in advance that had a less rapid propagation system for demolishing the concrete core. The resulting delay caused the bottom 1/2 of WTC 2 core, seen below, to remain visible after the exterior steel structure of the floors had already been demolished. There is more description of this phase in SETTING DETONATORS:
The core deception is critical to explaining a feasible demolition. Keep this fact in mind because every single web analysis out supporting the official story uses the FEMA information of steel core columns. Coincidentally, so do all of the visible quasi leaders and web sites of the 9-11 truth movement.
Early floor truss analysis and the "pancake theory" use a different beam system, less, than what was actually in the towers.

The spire, the west wall, narrow end of the WTC 1 steel structure surrounding the concrete core.
The below photo has a comb like shape of the remnant of the reinforcing bars of the core, briefly standing. The FEMA core cannot leave this shape. There are too many elements and they are too small. The box columns in the spire image above are about the same size as the steel columns the core was supposedly made from. There were supposedly 47 columns in the core and they were hand fabricated in 40 foot sections then 100% welded in place. The below photo was taken at approximately the same distance.
What actually existed were 24 hand fabricated box columns surrounding the concrete core walls, fastened to it as the inner wall of the outer steel framework. The spire is at the north west corner.
Below are a long row of 3" rebar on 4 foot centers seen at approximately 7500 feet.
In the video documentary of the construction it was noted that the special plastic coating was tested after sitting for longer periods during bad weather that didn't allow pouring of concrete. When good weather returned, the concrete was poured. Following this, it was discovered that the coating of the rebar had lost some of its viability. It was noted that nothing could be done and construction continued with freshly coated horizontal smaller rebar. The new rebar was critical to removing the concrete and LEAVING the large vertical rebar standing as we see it in this photo.
The slope to the top of the rebar was mentioned in the documentary. The engineers specified that the concrete pours not terminate with level opposing joints across the tower to maximize the strength of the tubular concrete tower core as an anti torsion element. Also the rebar was to be welded in series of butt joints in a slope across the walls of the core. Slopes ran in opposite directions on opposite sides maximizing torsion resistance of the tube. The slope of the tops of the rebar in the photo above show this.
The actual slowdown in construction upon discovery of the rebar coating failure, when it was revealed by the government agency constructing, and the videographers had to pry for this information (contractors revealed economic damages from un explained security measures), that there was a special anti corrosion, anti vibration resistant coating on the rebar of the concrete core structure. The coating was flammable and special precautions were to be taken, meaning the government would conduct the butt welding of the 3 inch vertical bar with welders having a security clearance prior to regular crews running the horizontal minor steel that is tied with wire.
Welders working on the main steel couldn't be used because they didn't have security clearances. A special crew with armed escorts standing outside visual screens in the beginning of construction removed the coating from the bars, beveled the bar ends, welded the bar and x-rayed them. The armed guards were removed after suspicions were aroused. After each tier of concrete was poured the butt welding of the 3" high tensile steel rebar had to be completed before the concrete forms could be built again 40 feet further up.
High Tensile steel has large amounts of chromium meaning that the material must be preheated. A very difficult weld.
THE CORE BASEWALL
The below image shows the interior box columns and a stair well sandwiching the thick base of the core. High tensile steel rebar protrudes from the top of the cast concrete. Note that the annotation of 3 inch rebar is in error, recent recall identifies the rebar as 6 inch and common with the foundation. Staggered extensions around the core went through the core base from the foundation into the lower core walls that had primarily 3 inch rebar.
Due to the proximity of the high explosive on the bar and a slight inequality of thickness of the concrete or C4 coating, one side of the rebar was subjected to higher pressures than the other resulting in the uniform coiled shape of the three rebar that are visible.
What is labeled 3 inch, (again, I've remembered since annotation of this image, is actually 6 inch.) Review this next image of the debris on top of it before being cleared off. This is a unique feature of ground zero that can be horizontally located here. What is annotated in yellow below survived the removal of all of the debris that was on top of it and entangled with it. Excavators clawed at that and cranes pulled pieces away, the smooth coiled steel pieces anchored in the flat plane of the top of the core wall base survived everything with their shape and remained until the concrete was nearly completely exposed. Another image from a slightly clockwise position shows a 3'x7 foot utility hallway daylighting on the far side of the wall segment. It was used to make connections to plumbing cast into the core walls.
The documentary spent some time detailing the construction of the foundation and that 6 inch bar extending from the core base wall into the core wall itself. Six inch is too large to bend, but had been specified. Meaning a great deal of welding was done of the massive high tensile rebar used there.
THE WTC 2 CORE FALLING
Below is an image of the top portion of WTC 2 as it falls and is about to hit WTC 3. I would expect to see doorways, but do not, and assume that the top 2 floors of the concrete core were different structurally than those below where a number of floors had hallways crossing in both direction.
Keep in mind that this is the top of WTC 2 falling on WTC 3 which is to the west of the tower. This will be made significant a few paragraphs below.
The purple arrow points to the core interior with a piece of perimeter wall trapped under the falling core fragment. The brownish gray well lit roof and above wall face left are the core. A basic cube shape inside the perimeter walls descending with it.
Below I'll attempt to explain and identify the building elements as the are partially seen inverted and being ripped apart by the free fall descent of a portion of the steel reinforced tubular cast concrete core.
Also, without the "Core deception" as a fundamental aspect of the over all ruse, how is the absense of large pieces of concrete explained to the public? Richard Gage, unwilling to dialogue or substantiate his belief in the FEMA steel core columns or explain in any detail how they might be cut to create free fall, appears to partially base his rejection of the concrete core on "No macro sized pieces of concrete at ground zero". As if the lack of them proved by there was not a concrete core. As if that fact was not fully explained within this theory. As if he has no responsibility as a theorist to define how total pulverization occurs. He is not alone in technically irresponsible speculation, either wild, or simply inadequate.
No other theory accounts for the pulverization factor. The truth of how it was accomplished, as explained here, is no outrageous, that people FEEL such to be impossible. That type feeling and the resulting mental action is the essence of the function of hitlers "big lie".
This is a link to a very large image, same as below, where huge quantities of sand and gravel which all has the color of cement is seen. The official tower core design would produce HALF this much sand with NO gravel at all.
Another, aspect is seen in an apparent explosion at impact of Flight 175 with the south tower.
How The Twin Towers Were Secretly Demolished On 9-11-01.

"Sometime in future, in 50 years or so, how are
these Twin Towers are going to be taken down as
tall as they were going to be and as tight as
land is in a crowded city, without causing fast
destruction to other buildings?"
He was standing upright. He outstretched his right arm with his palm down. And said, "Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam" as he lowered his hand down one imaginary floor at a time. All the way down to the floor. I knew that we had to certify these commutators to be able to operate continuously for 50 years without service or repair as our part of the contract. He explained that as the buildings are being built, explosive charges are being incorporated into the structures at key floor joint locations. So, that when the first charges are set-off at the top floors, they will take that floor down to the next. And the charges at that floor will take it down to the next floor. This will continue all the way down. The Twin Towers will come straight down like a stack of pancakes. When the buildings get old and no longer useful or profitable to have and maintain, all it will take is a phone call to take them down.

A note related to my recollection from the middle of the second part of the PBS documentary "The Engineering and Construction of the Twin Towers". I have dim memory of a narrational mention of the concrete contractor who had taken over after the one first abandoned the contract shortly after the core base level, leaving to be replaced by a Saudi contractor before WTC 1 was finished. About the time WTC 2 had been started.
The only way to reconcile an analysis inclusive of the dynamically profound demolition or its sophistication is that the thick coatings of the rebar of the cast concrete support core and foundation were actually made of plastic explosive, C4. This would put enough explosive force in direct contact with the most concrete at high enough pressures and enable the instantaneous structural collapse of each floor consecutively to the ground that we saw, as well as the resulting particulate. Attempting to apply explosives to the exterior of the concrete would have created too much external explosion and made the demo obvious without achieving a fraction of what we saw or see in the pulverization of material in the photos linked above.
Electronic delays described below are used at 300 millisecond intervals, floors with less delay, perhaps 75 milliseconds, the rate of detonation downwards approximates the 9 + second rate of fall with removal of the core structure adequate to bring all the material to the ground.
Floors detonating first, cutting interior box columns surrounding the core. Initiation signals in the detonation system inside the core are protected by the concrete core wall, then 40 foot of core detonates.
Thermite used in the positions described of this scenario could end up leaving puddled steel anywhere in the basement.
The quantity of high explosive of this scenario or theory, in direct contact with concrete, will create large quantities of very fine dust having considerable amounts of iron and chromium bonded to it.
The Notion of no concrete core and of cutting the supposed steel core columns with anything other than shape charges, not developed as they are today, would have changed the character of the event witnessed. Below is a diagram showing optimized custom cutting charges built in that cut the full length steel columns that did exist.
The explosions heard next to WTC 2 on 9-11 are very well contained blasts with precision delays.

This was technology invented in the cold war to make self destruct missile silos and submarine bases. The C4 protected the steel from corrosion while building sub bases before the sea water was evacuated by the incoming concrete into the forms. The C4 was encapsulated in the concrete and its 10 year average shelf life extended by many times.

"C4 resembles white, uncooked pastry or bread dough, and can be kneaded and moulded into any shape in total safety," said Mark Ribband, head of a British company that manufactures this explosive.
"You can even shoot bullets in it. It needs a detonator to make it explode," he said.

.STEEL COLUMN CUTTING FLOORS
The following section benefits from recall of the documentary which mentioned at least, the tolerances between the plates and the columns, critical to this method of cutting heavy steel.

The tempered steel plates sandwiching the C4, cast into the floors form a sophisticated cutting charge with extreme shaping from optimum containment/direction/shaping into a collapsing plane of high pressure gas or plasma. Note the uniform red color on the sheared column. Loose iron oxide formed from extreme heating and cutting action of high pressure gas plane.
Some have said the lump on the bottom edge of the above columns is a broken weld but it appears more as melted asphalt concrete from being pushed at 5MPH by a wheel loader because there is gravel embedded in the build up of asphalt emulsion. The edge gets hot. The upper edge has the same bevel as the very large column below.
Below, the end of the much thicker column wall has a similar edge. Not being sure of what explosive shear looks like, but have seen video indicating that a beveled edge is normal with cutting charges and shaped charges.
Below is an analysis of a column which was ruptured by an overloaded cutting charge and or a blockage in the box tube above. The telltale to the cutting charge built into the floor being involved is the straight square edge of the column on the lower narrow face represented by the dashed blue line in the diagram.
.Floors with these optimized built in "custom cutting charges" acted to cut columns on level lines and many images such as the below show a row of columns all cut at the same height. Interior box columns, the largest seen, are indicated by green arrows and the yellow arrow is support structure for freight elevator landings and guide rail supports or other mechanical facility inside the core.
Eyewitness reports of first explosions a ground level just before impact could only have been from radio proximity detection, because another blast was 9 seconds later in both towers after impact. There is also evidence that WTC 2 had a blast near the impact floors barely 1 second before impact.
.Explosions In The Basement.
.Mike told his co-worker to call upstairs to their Assistant Chief Engineer and find out if everything was all right. His co-worker made the call and reported back to Mike that he was told that the Assistant Chief did not know what happened but that the whole building seemed to shake and there was a loud explosion. They had been told to stay where they were and "sit tight" until the Assistant Chief got back to them.
The two decided to ascend the stairs to the C level, to a small machine shop where Vito Deleo and David Williams were supposed to be working. When the two arrived at the C level, they found the machine shop gone.
"There was nothing there but rubble" Mike said. "We're talking about a 50 ton hydraulic press - gone!" The two began yelling for their co-workers, but there was no answer. They saw a perfect line of smoke streaming through the air. "You could stand here," he said, "and two inches over you couldn't breathe. We couldn't see through the smoke so we started screaming." But there was still no answer.
The two made their way to the parking garage, but found that it, too, was gone. ‘There were no walls, there was rubble on the floor, and you can't see anything’ he said
No walls, NO WALLS!!! Those were steel reinforced concrete walls, the centralized rebar of the walls coated with C4 removed the walls completely. The surviving engineers were protected by the efficiency of the blast which pulverized the concrete and filled the air with dust and high heat, floating the particles at the top of the room.
Seconds before Flight 11 impacted floors 93 to 99 of the North Tower, janitor William Rodriguez heard and felt the concussion of a massive explosion in the sublevels under his feet. Thought the Twin Towers were anchored to bedrock, the floor beneath his feet vibrated and everything started shaking.
Then Rodriguez heard “another explosion from way above.”
Massive walls were cracking when co-worker Felipe David burst into the basement office yelling “explosion! explosion! explosion!” The skin was hanging off his hands and arms.
Construction worker in the WTC Phillip Morelli (37 years old on 9-11-1) describes being thrown to the ground by two explosions while in the fourth subbasement of the North Tower. The first, which threw him to the ground and seemed to coincide with the plane crash, was followed by a larger blast that again threw him to the ground and this time blew out walls. He then made his way to the South Tower and was in the subbasement there when the second plane hit, again associated with a powerful underground blast. TOWER DEMO SEQUENCE
Excavator operators in clean up were amazed that they didn't have to use breakers to remove the foundations. The explosions were done with great efficiency in the base of the concrete core structure and exterior foundation. The detonations simply broke the foundation, and significant walls, moving relatively little material and were not explosively connected to travel upward. The gravity load of the tower lent its mass to the foundation breakage and divided the total seismic wave into 2 smaller events. The upper detonations and thermite initiation later were timed. If they were not timed and were remote, why would the second tower hit, least damaged, fall first? Human nature says that while conducting a ruse, those who have control to make it as perfect as ruse as possible, will do so. Meaning;
The pilot of the flight 11 hit the wrong tower.
There was no remote control over planes or detonations.
The fact that both towers fell almost identically and the tops fell in the wrong directions relating to the faces they were struck on and the backwards impact/fall sequence, are major factors that indicate the controlling aspects of the towers fall was completely separate from plane collisions and fires and that they were a demolition, controlled by timers.
Viewed from the east, here is the top of the north tower falling to the south when the tower was hit hard on the north side. Damage there, of 61% of the bearing columns, logically causes a failure there having the tower fall to the north.
In addition to the above, it is completely illogical that this building, hit first, hit hardest, burnt worst, would fall last, without demolition's being involved.
Below is a photo of the South Tower. The upper body of the tower is falling east, again, tipping the wrong way if the plane hit the south face.
Remember that the top of WTC 2 hit WTC 3.
Within a collapse, the upper body of WTC 2 tilting east then the top falling west are all but impossible. With controlled demolition's benefiting from perfectly placed, precision delayed explosions, no problem.
Clearly, IF remote control was present with the planes, THEN the strikes on the buildings would coincide with the fall sequence of the towers because those in control would be logically compelled to make the ruse as believable as possible. They would be practiced and controlled in what they did, familiar with NYC. With control over the demolition's, the same effect could be achieved if the wrong tower was hit first by simply detonating it first. It is not easy to believe that those conducting the ruse would NOT make it close to perfect if they could do so and it was not perfect by any means. To think that remote operators would intentionally make a backwards impact/fall sequence is not reasonable. Such compromises the deception too greatly.
As it was, the pilots only had to know the elevation the other pilot was supposed to hit, in case targets were traded by need. Attack pilots always know each others target for this reason. As long as both towers were hit and hit approximately at the planned elevation, the rest could be explained. Logically, flight 11 was supposed to hit WTC 2 on the west side as a first strike, then flight 175 was to hit the south side of WTC 1.
Both impacts would leave an impression similar to a cartoon of a plane hitting a tower where the top of the tower falls over the plane with the top against the direction it is was traveling in, the bottom knocked out from under the top, and the lower remainder fall in the direction the plane was going. In the human mind, despite the delay from impact to fall that would exist in execution, a some what acceptable spatial impression is made. This demolition plan put the tops of both towers toward WTC 3.

REMOVING THE VERTICAL BEARING CAPACITY OF THE STEEL AT THE BOTTOM LAST:
Below the detonation system of the lower core, different from that of the upper core, was a gas system for safety as described in the SETTING DETONATORS section below. The different system was slower and the thermite removed the bearing ability columns at the base of them as the floors detonated at 75 millisecond delays downwards. If only the floors are detonated while the thermite at the base of the perimeter box columns and interior box columns is initiated, the steel will drop as a disconnected ring around the core, centralized, limiting collateral damage.
Thermite was placed against steel faces in the first floor and basement of the towers that created the large quantity of molten metal in the basements. In the most practical sense, thermite is the ONLY way to possibly create that much heat, that fast under those conditions.
After the van blew up in the basement of the WTC tower in 1993, (It is a known fact that government agents knew and allowed this to happen, (see the trial of the terrorist charged) Also this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF8LCT2oa3w&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF8LCT2oa3w&feature=youtu.be This made a need to see the first floor remodeled making opportunity to add thermite in the quantities covering at lease a single face of the vertical structural steel. Since thermite on a vertical surface will mostly run off, it was necessary to cover a considerable vertical length of the columns making it necessary to remodel the first floor also to provide enough vertical involvement to get thermite inside the box columns from a single face melting through. News casts near the end of the remodel covering it stated that "A special fireproofing was added to protect columns in case of further terrorism." I saw that news piece myself as I was following the repairs to the towers very closely after seeing the documentary on the WTC 1 construction only 3 years earlier.
The molten puddles of steel in the basement (corroborative link below) can only be explained by thermite (3,000 F at 30,000 FPS) which was needed to assure a complete and immediate failure of the bottom few floors at the end of the descent of the explosion removing the last steel support for the shifting load of debris, creating volume by perfect removal of short, strong vertical load bearing elements, accommodating the falling Debris, reducing collateral damage.
When concrete low in the core and basement detonated, burning thermite, molten steel and concrete were mixed together for weeks, un burned thermite ignited keeping molten puddles hot.

Such persistent and intense residual heat, 70 feet
below the surface, in an oxygen starved
environment, could explain how these crucial
structural supports failed.
Peter Tully, president of Tully Construction of Flushing, N.Y., told AFP that he saw pools of “literally molten steel” at the World Trade Center. The molten steel was found “three, four, and five weeks later, when the rubble was being removed,” Loizeaux said. He said molten steel was also found at 7 WTC, which collapsed mysteriously in the late afternoon.
Inspection ports provided would allow access to the big vertical bar in the concrete shear walls of the core. I remember these mentioned in the documentary as needed to check the condition of the reinforcing bar. When the buildings were leased there was extensive service done on lower elevators. That was done in immediately following the leasing of the towers when news programs reported that employees working in the towers lower floors experienced delays getting to lower floors because they had to go above them and then come back down due to service on lower floor elevators. A flame initiation method that utilizes gas filled plastic tubes which is a safer, more stable detonation system would be used here as those blasting caps would sit for months in the occupied building. The gas is lit and burns to a detonator resembling an old fuse, or fire blasting cap. This system will not be inadvertently detonated by radio waves or static and can be left safely for months. That system was also probably the reason the core of WTC 2 was left standing for up to 5 seconds or so as seen in the part of this page above called, WTC 2 CORE STANDING
On the weekend before 9-11 the building was unlocked throughout the inside for cable upgrades for almost 48 hours above the 48th floor. Just about the right amount of time to access the inspection ports and complete the work done needed to get exactly the delay effect described here by the firefighters;

the inspection ports into the cast concrete pour are opened and 4 inches of C4 scraped off the rebar interrupting the explosive circuit where a delay cap initiated with the gas detonation circuit is inserted. Shielding the C4 from the upper detonation with a steel cover would assure that the lower cap would be intact for delayed detonation. The opportunity for setting detonators on the upper 48 floors of WTC 2 is documented below. It is implied that the entire WTC underwent the same cable upgrade.
According to Scott Forbes, a senior database administrator for Fiduciary Trust, Inc. – a high-net investment bank which was later acquired by Franklin – this is precisely what took place. Forbes, who was hired by Fiduciary in 1999 and is now stationed at a U.K. branch office, was working on the weekend of September 8-9, 2001, and said that his company was given three weeks advance notice that New York’s Port Authority would take out power in the South Tower from the 48th floor up. The reason: the Port Authority was performing a cabling upgrade to increase the WTC’s computer bandwidth.
Forbes stated that Fiduciary Trust was one of the WTC’s first occupants after it was erected, and that a “power-down” had never been initiated prior to this occasion. He also stated that his company put forth a huge investment in time and resources to take down their computer systems due to the deliberate power outage. This process, Forbes recalled, began early Saturday morning (September 8th) and continued until mid-Sunday afternoon (September 9th) – approximately 30 hours. As a result of having its electricity cut, the WTC’s security cameras were rendered inoperative, as were its I.D. systems, and elevators to the upper floors.
WTC SECURITY BREACH AND AIRPORTS

Washington, D.C. WASHINGTON, Jan 19, 2003 -- A company that provided security at New York City's World Trade Center, Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., and to United Airlines between 1995 and 2001, was backed by a private Kuwaiti-American investment firm with ties to a brother of President Bush and the Bush family, according to records obtained by the American Reporter.
Marvin P. Bush, a younger brother of George W. Bush, was a principal in the company from 1993 to 2000, when most of the work on the big projects was done. But White House responses to 9/11 have not publicly disclosed the company's part in providing security to any of the named facilities, and many of the public records revealing the relationships are not public.
Nonetheless, public records reveal that the firm, formerly named Securacom, listed Bush on its board of directors and as a significant shareholder. The firm, now named Stratesec, Inc., is located in Sterling, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C., and emphasizes federal clients. Bush is no longer on the board.
Marvin Bush has not responded to repeated telephoned and emailed requests for comment on this story.
Delays and Paths
The floor delays would be on one circuit and the core on another. The ports accessing the rebar in the core walls were on the inside of the core, protected from the blasts of the floors. Floor circuit delays would be set to count at 75 milliseconds with a possible decreasing delay downward for initiations of consecutive floors to the bottom. Concrete core delay paths would set at 300 milliseconds for each 40 foot concrete pour which had at least one inspection port on each 3" vertical rebar to remove the coating and slow the removal of bearing and lateral support, keeping the floors in position while they detonate.
The glaring Inconsistencies are dealt with by this theory based on information the public already has and knows. Some forgotten, who out there remembers the documentary of the construction?
The quantity, 2 foot thick of gravel sand and powdered concrete surrounding the WTC, exceeds by multiples, the quantity of material the FEMA web site identifies being used in the floors. Add to this the immense cloud of 100 micron finely pulverized concrete, and logically, what happened can only be caused by demolition. Firstly the quantity is such because of the massive concrete core described here. Second, the location of the rebar, centralized in the core structure, makes extremely high pressures possible. Attaining breakage that fine and consistent is impossible without excessively large loading UNLESS absolutely optimum location and distribution is utilized creating maximum pressures.
Another important point is that the official design shows that the only concrete is in the floors and it is LIGHT WEIGHT concrete. Light weight concrete is made from a small amount of very fine silica, vermiculite and flyash with portland cement, then it is foamed or aerated and spread. NO GRAVEL (rock aggregate) is used.

What you have seen in the photo near the top of the page and again below, is the tops of 3" rebar, special high tensile steel, that has broken at a series of welds. The slope of the tops of the steel bars is created because engineers did not want a series of weld joints on the vertical bars horizontally creating a possible line of fracture across the building. The reason the bar are standing and the concrete gone is that the C4 coating on those bars was not viable. The north tower was the first built and the practice rotating out old rebar was not yet a part of the high security locked storage on site. Rebar set in the fall. An early winter caused it to be exposed to harsh weather and it became non viable as an explosive. The concrete was removed by the detonation of the horizontal bar wired to it, leaving the heavy 3" vertical bar standing, momentarily.

I've been sharing this scenario on message boards since 2002 and quite a few people agree that what happened on 9-11 at the WTC must have been prepared something close to what is described above.
