Media is now the space between us, as a people, that conducts our knowledge of ourselves and our world. You only think about what you know.

The space between us has been taken over by an element made unaccountable with an error of the courts. The error can be corrected but there is a possibility a decision soon to be made by he courts, will make that reversal difficult to gain.

We cannot expect that conditions created by this nearly unthinkable "taking" will improve unless we, the people, for our purposes, uniformly exert whatever democratic potential we have left.

What you are going to learn here is very subtle and has been implemented within psychological manipulation upon American masses for the last 20 to 30 years. If you think carefully about the rest of what is presented here, particularly the following list, then compare it to the American inability to unify in their democracy, you will gain perspective upon how deep our affliction is.

The below is an example of what psychology has labeled "cognitive distortions". Behavioral psychology made observations over time that were reasoned to be emotionally, cognitively, dysfunctional, by comparisons to functional behavior. The following factors are the basis for a disorder of the unconscious that comes from patterning in ways that give it unhealthy or dangerous control over the conscious mind. Fears, wants and desires are used continually to direct the viewrs thinking. Major dissociations, forgettings, can occur within a persons mind that has been exposed in certain environments to the following psychological manipulation that could be termed warfare; over a lifetime, raised by parents; suffering from the same manipulations.

Mass mental manipulation through media

A new area of academic achievement is called "Semiotics", it is about the meanings of symbols. Literally everything in our lives is symbolized to the mind. Some things connect unconsciously. People with degrees in semiotics began to get degrees in about 1980. They went to work in; advertising, public relations, government, and writing for television.

Now we see how the sitcoms, gameshows, soap operas etc. can be used to corrupt our perceptions of the world and divide us indirectly through our perceptions during entertainment. This false socialization conditions childrens social responses related to image and fear. Media encourages repression and dissociation of memory by not keeping important facts before the public and instead shocking them with tragic sensation repeatedly, never providing solution. Inducing a subtle fear state. This creates a tendency to enable mass group dissociations that are very dangerous to free society. Literally, the population can forget what they had while watching it dismantled only to remember too late perhaps, why their ancestors fought and died for the freedom they hoped to pass on to future generations.

In the future, the use of much of what is below, after carefully reading and considering, will be evident to you when watch commercials and other programming. News commentary will occasionally contain very overt examples of these distortions.

(General, conditional, subliminal message examples contained in media in italics. Reciprocity by dramatic presentation added to these, creates a potential for a dynamic social disorder, with the intentions that are present, never before seen on earth.)

1. All or nothing thinking: Things are placed in black or white categories. If things are less than perfect self is viewed as failure.

.2. Over generalization: Single event is viewed as continuous failure.

3. Mental filter: Details in life (positive or negative) are amplified in importance while opposite is rejected.

4. Minimizing: Perceiving one or opposite experiences (positive or negative) as absolute and maintaining singularity of belief to one or the other.

5. Mind reading: One absolutely concludes that others are reacting positively or negatively without investigating reality.

6. Fortune Telling: Based on previous 5 distortions, anticipation of negative or positive outcome of situations is established fact.

7. Catastrophizing: Exaggerated importance of self's failures and others successes.

8. Emotional reasoning: One feels as though emotional state IS reality of situation. ie. "I feel bad, so I must be bad."If you feel good it is because you are good.

9. "Should" statements: Self imposed rules about behavior creating guilt at self inability to adhere and anger at others in their inability to conform to self's rules often coupled with #8 above.

10. Labeling: Instead of understanding errors over generalization is applied.

11. Personalization: Thinking that the actions or statements of others are a reaction to you.

12. Entitlement: Believing that you deserve things you have not earned.

Keep in mind that all media coming before us is scrutinized for content and no media that does the OPPOSITE of the distortions of the list, sees production. Media seeking to unify people with democracy is rarely is approved. It does not matter whether the media is radio, television, magazine, video or film; little or no corporate investment has been encouraged.

Example: Toll free phone numbers are used for telethon type events and sales but rarely for function development of opinion in conjunction with consistent programming guiding the public toward consensus. The art of filmaking subtly converted to an impliment of design. Designed to subconsciously compell even just a small part of one of the above cognitive distortions to be "understood" (effecting distortion). Understanding is a VERY powerful influence upon the human mind.

This is how the American people arrived at their present state of; distraction, confusion and disunity.

If you wonder how people can believe what politicians are saying while getting elected, this may help. Remember, people who think they understand, can believe anything. Who is responsible for making us think we understand?

Do you trust what you are reading? Let it be understood that the intent of the author of this site is to unify with other Americans in the protection of; life, air and water, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That will be done by the peoples understanding as a product of the greater meaning of free speech.

The question is now, can you believe that your understanding of optimization has the ability to transform our democracy?

If you do, the first action to take is to communcate to all organizations working for peace, environment, social justice etc. in an effort to help them understand, what you understand. This cannot be done alone, it must be taken on by a group as a simple "matter of fact" understanding. Posting on the bulletin board your perceptions will give others opportunity to know your perspective and the board will serve to unify your understanding of the optimization process and how to present it.

The history of media and its failure to reduce the exploitation of sex and violence in rpogramming is just the tip of the iceberg but it shows a history of onerous exploitation. Deceptive news and news oriented programming takes the situtation over time into another, darker and dangerous area of abuse and exploitation of power given time to work on successive generations.

The purpose of this web site is to develop an introduction to the optimized methods of thinking about change in America or the world by using available information to arrive at a reasonable evaluation of the unreasonablenesss of our situation, then create unity and organization empowering democracy to make it reasonable.

Join the bulletin board on the Article V Convention and protect the law of the land, to develop strategy for cyberactivism engaging non profit organizations, the first meaningful action.
